Hey everyone! I'm planning to upgrade my CPU, since I'm currently using an older AMD 5 1090. I realize that I'll need a new motherboard because the CPU socket has changed with the AMD 5 1000 series. I'm hoping to find a good budget motherboard, preferably in the $100-$300 range. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Make sure to check the VRMs on the motherboard to ensure they can handle the power requirements of your new CPU. At your budget, you can find some solid options that will work well even for high-end gaming CPUs. Just try to avoid motherboards with too many PCIe or NVMe slots that you won’t need.
Thank u for the advice!
Also, just a heads-up, you'll need DDR5 RAM for the new setup.
