Looking for Budget Mice with Programmable Side Buttons

I'm looking for some recommendations for a budget-friendly mouse that has programmable side buttons. I do a lot of copy-pasting for work, and since I work remotely about 50% of the time, I would love to set up the side buttons to work as Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V. The catch is that I can't install any mouse software on my work computer, so I need a mouse that I can program from my home computer or phone before bringing it to the office.

I'm not really worried about theft, so I prefer something inexpensive—around $50 or less, but I'm open to spending a bit more if necessary. Wireless would be great, but I'm flexible. Also, I would like something that isn't too flashy or gamer-oriented. Any suggestions?

The Logitech G502 is a solid option! You can usually find the wired version for under $50. It feels fantastic in the hand, and you can adjust the weights to suit your preference. Plus, it has extra thumb buttons that you can reprogram—there's one that I set up for SHIFT. You should be able to set it up for Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V as well, which is perfect for your needs!

Corsair mice usually have good programmability too, and they come in various styles. Just look for a model with at least two side buttons. I had a Corsair mouse with 9 buttons, and you can program the extra buttons as well. A lot of these mice come with onboard memory, so you can save your settings and take them wherever!

Thanks for the tip! So, most of them have onboard memory, right? I have a ROG mouse at home, but I've always used the ASUS software for it. I didn't realize it was common for mice to have this onboard memory feature!

Have you checked out the UTechSmart Venus? It's technically an MMO mouse, but you can snag it for under $40. It has 12 programmable side buttons, and the best part is you can program it on your home system and just take it to work without a hitch. That's a lot of flexibility!
