I recently received a PC as a gift and I'm looking to upgrade it a bit. Here's what I currently have:
* Motherboard: Intel B660M DS3H AX DDR4
* Processor: Intel i7 12700
* RAM: 1x 8GB and 1x 4GB (planning to replace these since they were just what I had at hand)
* Graphics Card: Intel UHD 770 (I'm planning to swap it for an RTX 3080)
* Storage: Phison 512GB SSD
* Power Supply: InWin B65E 650W
* Case: Medion Erazer x31
Considering I aim to play VR games as well as popular titles like Fortnite and Destiny, do you think this setup will handle it? Also, will my current PSU be sufficient for everything, or should I switch to my old ACE A-850BR 850W PSU?

Just a heads up about that motherboard and CPU combo—you might run into issues when utilizing the full power of the CPU with a 3080. You’ll want to ensure good airflow for the VRMs, and if you experience random shutdowns or reboots, it might be necessary to adjust the PL1 and PL2 limits. Consider upgrading to a mid-high end B760 motherboard with solid VRM cooling when you can!
With the RTX 3080 and some upgraded RAM, you should have a solid gaming rig! If you can, aim for 32GB of RAM for better performance. That'll definitely help with gaming, especially with VR titles in mind.
For sure, once I've got some spare cash, I'm planning to upgrade both the RAM and GPU!

Thanks for the advice! So far, I haven't run into any problems, but I expect issues once I upgrade the GPU. What would you recommend for a GPU within around 300 pounds?
