I'm trying to find the perfect Christmas gift for my husband, who has recently shown a keen interest in learning Linux. He's mentioned wanting a refurbished Linux tower for a while now. Although I'm not very tech-savvy, I've done some research and it seems like I could buy him a regular desktop that he could wipe and install Linux on. He mainly needs it for word processing, some graphics work, and web applications. It would be such a nice surprise for him if I could help him take this next step! Any recommendations on what to buy or where to look?

If there's a Microcenter nearby, it’d be a great idea to take a day trip there. He could choose the components or equipment he likes, and it would be a fun experience together!
Here’s a great link to a light build for Linux that he can get started with: [pcpartpicker](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/9VZfYd). It's user-friendly and should suit his needs pretty well.
Consider asking someone tech-savvy to guide you through the process. It might be more beneficial than just relying on random suggestions here. Good luck! You're a great wife!
You’re very kind, thank you for the encouragement!
You can really just get any decent machine. I use a desktop running Ubuntu, and it works perfectly fine. Do you know which specific Linux distribution he’s interested in?
I have no idea, and I'm worried that asking too many questions will give away my surprise!

Thank you so much for the recommendation!
