Hey everyone! I'm new to this forum and could really use your advice. I'm currently saving up to build a new PC. Right now, I'm using a Ryzen 5 2600 with a GTX 1660. I'm planning to upgrade to the Radeon RX 9070 XT with 16GB, but I'm not sure which CPU to pair with it. I was considering the Ryzen 5 7600X—do you think that's a solid choice? I'm open to any recommendations, and please bear with me since English isn't my first language. Thanks in advance!

If you’re looking for a cheaper upgrade, consider switching to the Ryzen 5600 or 5600X for a decent performance boost without breaking the bank. Then you could wait to upgrade the rest of your setup when prices get better.
Keep in mind that upgrading to either the 7000 or 9000 series will require a new AM5 motherboard, so factor that into your budget. The 7700X and AM5 motherboards can be great for future upgrades. The X3D series like the 9800X3D are awesome for gaming but may stretch your budget.
I'd recommend looking at the Ryzen 7600X or even the 7600X3D, 7800X3D, or 9800X3D if your budget allows. They’re great options that should last you more than five years. Just consider what games you generally play and your monitor's resolution—1080p games lean more on the CPU while higher resolutions are more GPU-dependent.
I’m really happy with my 9800X3D, and my buddy loves his 7800X3D too. They both work well with the RX 9070 XT. If you're not too concerned about costs, the 9800X3D offers great temps and overclocking potential. For best value while keeping overclocking in mind, the 7800X3D is a smart choice. If that's not your jam, then consider the 9700X.
