I'm not looking for a service to host our documentation; instead, I'm on the hunt for ready-made solutions that can help illustrate basic tasks for users. Think of it as needing guides for simple actions like setting a default printer or other everyday tasks that often clog up our support tickets. Are there any good SaaS or other documentation services out there that focus on these basic Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 tasks? I'm happy to create documentation for processes unique to our needs, but it'd really save time to have a solid resource for all the routine stuff.

I don't know of any specific SaaS that has all the documentation you need. In our case, we use an internal SharePoint Wiki for useful links, but we rarely direct end users there. My view is that IT should simplify things for users to reduce the chances of errors. For example, instead of having users manage their own printers, why not set it up through Group Policy? That way, everything is done automatically without user intervention.
You might want to check out options like Wiki.js or even GitHub repositories with a documentation front end. However, you will likely need to write the actual content yourself, as I'm not aware of any SaaS that offers built-in pre-written help for those common requests. It's a bit of a DIY approach, but it's flexible.
For efficient end-user support on Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 basics, consider platforms like Document360, Confluence, or GitBook. They all have great features like version control, editing tools, and analytics. Document360 even has AI-assisted help for creating content. By organizing these common tasks in one place, you can help users help themselves, which reduces the number of simple tickets IT has to handle.
