Hey everyone! I'm about to build my first PC and I'm really hoping to make it last for at least 8 years. You can check out the parts I'm considering here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dC9pyW. I'm especially concerned about future-proofing this build because I hear GPUs might be going up in price, and I'm not too patient given that I'm currently using a GTX 1060. I've also included a 2 TB Samsung SSD from my current setup that I'll be transferring over. This PC isn't just for gaming; I plan on doing some programming too, so I want to make sure it can handle a variety of tasks. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated!

If this build is mainly for gaming, 64GB of RAM seems like overkill. You’d probably do better with 32GB and use the savings for a better GPU. Also, those pre-builts might save you some cash; I’ve seen deliveries for $2100 with powerful GPUs like the 5080.
I think you could save some money on the motherboard and RAM. For AMD, CL30 and CL40 don't make a huge difference—opt for something like Corsair RAM with lower specs and go for a cheaper motherboard like a B850. Have you thought about case fans, or will you stick with what comes with the case?
Overall, it looks decent, but predicting an 8-year lifespan is tough. Consider if you really need an X870E motherboard—most users find an X870 more than adequate. Also, swapping your PSU for a BeQuiet could save noise and ensure safety.
I'd recommend looking for cheaper RAM (like CL38) and reallocating those savings toward a larger SSD. Additionally, I found a deal on a similar model that's less expensive and comes with RGB lighting—it's worth checking out!
Honestly, for that price, you could also build something similar but with a 5080 GPU. If aesthetics matter to you, I suggest going for an air cooler—performance may not differ much from a liquid cooler, but the look might just fit your build better.
