I'm building a new AM5 system with a Ryzen 5 7600X CPU and I've got 4 sticks of Crucial CT8G48C40U5 RAM (totaling 32GB at 4800MHz). I'm trying to decide between three motherboard options: the GIGABYTE B650 EAGLE AX, MSI PRO B840-P WIFI, and MSI B840 GAMING PLUS WIFI. I've checked the memory support list, and all three boards officially support my RAM in a 4-stick configuration. However, I'm concerned about potential real-world issues, like instability or performance drops when using all four sticks. Has anyone had experience with these boards and can share insights, especially regarding the B840 series? Thanks!

If you can, consider returning the RAM or selling it to get a 2x16GB 6000MHz kit instead. The QVL lists can be misleading because they only show what the manufacturers tested and don’t cover all compatible RAM options. That said, I understand there’s a RAM shortage where you are, so make sure whatever you choose will give you the best performance at a reasonable price.
Just a heads up, the B840 boards are essentially like A620 boards, with fewer features, including no Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO) control. If you're looking to optimize your build, I'd recommend sticking with the B650 or B850 series for better overall performance and features.
Officially, the Ryzen 5 7600X only supports RAM speeds up to 3600 MT/s with four modules. You might get it to run at 4800 MHz, but there's no guarantee it will be stable. It's best to first install just 2 sticks and set the speed manually to 3600 before adding the other 2. Once everything is up and running, you can try overclocking the memory controller gradually to see if you can reach higher speeds.
