Hey everyone! I'm putting together my first gaming PC, and I'm excited but also a bit nervous since I don't have much experience. Here's what I've gathered so far for my build:
- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D
- **GPU:** ASUS TUF Gaming RTX 5080 OC 16GB
- **Motherboard:** ASUS ROG Strix B650E-F
- **RAM:** Corsair Vengeance 32 GB DDR5-6000
- **Storage:** Samsung 980 PRO 2 TB NVMe
- **CPU Cooler:** DeepCool LT720 360 mm AIO
- **Thermal Paste:** Noctua NT-H2
- **Case:** Corsair 4000D Airflow
- **PSU:** Corsair HX1200i 1200 W Platinum
- **Extra Fans:** 2-3 additional fans
- **UPS:** APC Back-UPS Pro BR1500G-IN 1500 VA
- **Monitor:** Dell 32 Plus 4K QD-OLED – S3225QC
I would love your input on this build. Am I missing anything or making any mistakes? Thanks!

This setup looks solid but keep in mind it’s quite pricey. One thing to consider: if you're focusing just on gaming, the 9950X3D may not be the best choice. The 9800X3D or even the 9850X3D would offer similar gaming performance at a lower cost. Also, the Samsung 980 Pro is getting older; you might want to look at newer drives like the 990 Pro. And that 1200W power supply is a bit overkill for this build—1000W would be more than adequate! Lastly, are you planning to use Wi-Fi? If so, you might want to get a motherboard that supports Wi-Fi 7!

Thanks for the tips! I am planning to use Wi-Fi. Should I consider switching to the Ryzen 7 instead? Is it good enough for gaming?

I think your build is good, but it seems like you may not need some of the high-end parts unless you have specific multitasking needs or a multi-monitor setup. Like the previous comment said, the 9950X3D may be excessive for just gaming—the 9800X3D is effective and can save you some cash. Also, regarding the motherboard, I’d recommend choosing a different one given your budget. Let us know your total budget, country, and where you plan to purchase from for more tailored suggestions!

I appreciate the input! I'm based in the US and my budget is around 3000 to 4000 dollars. This is all new to me, so any help is appreciated!
