I'm planning to build my own PC instead of purchasing a pre-built one and would love some feedback on the components I've chosen. Here's what I have so far:
- Phanteks XT PRO Ultra Black ATX Case with Tempered Glass
- AMD Ryzen 7 9700X CPU
- Samsung 990 Pro 1TB M.2 NVMe Internal SSD
- Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240 Core II ARGB 240mm AIO Water Cooler (supports various Intel and AMD sockets)
- G.SKILL Ripjaws S5 32GB DDR5 RAM Kit for XMP/EXPO - Black
- Gigabyte X870 EAGLE WIFI7 ATX Motherboard (AMD Socket AM5, X870 Chipset)
- DEEPCOOL PL750D 750W Power Supply
- Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 WINDFORCE OC 12GB GDDR7
Any advice or thoughts on this setup would be greatly appreciated!

Everything looks good to me! Make sure to double-check the cooling requirements; the 9700X should work well with your AIO cooler. And don't forget to plan for good cable management in that awesome case!
First off, nice choice on the case and the motherboard! Quick question though: what country are you in? And how do you plan to use the PC? Also, it would be great to see your build on PCPartPicker! It can help you keep track of compatibility and prices.
Congrats on putting together a solid build! I just went through a similar experience. I had a bit of a hiccup with my memory being too tall for my air cooler, and ended up returning a faulty ASUS motherboard. I switched to an MSI Tomahawk and it's been fantastic! The X870 motherboard you're getting looks like a great value, and I love the G.Skill memory too.
If you're planning on gaming hardcore, consider upgrading to the 9800X3D; the increase in energy usage is pretty negligible but the performance boost is worth it in the long run! Just a thought, since you're investing heavily in the other components!
I'm from NZ and I'm using it for gaming and work, with at least two monitors. I'll definitely check out PCPartPicker, thanks for the tip!
