Hey everyone! I'm getting back into competitive FPS gaming after a two-year break and I'm looking to put together a powerful gaming rig. I love playing games like Call of Duty Competitively, Battlefield 6, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Apex Legends, and narrative-heavy games like Red Dead Redemption 2. I really want your thoughts on this build I'm considering, as it's my first time assembling a PC on my own. Here are the specs I'm thinking of: 1) ASUS TUF Gaming 27" 1440P Monitor, 2) AMD Ryzen 9 9900X Processor, 3) ASUS TUF Gaming B650-PLUS Motherboard, 4) CORSAIR VENGEANCE 32GB DDR5 RAM, 5) Corsair HX1000i Power Supply, 6) WD_BLACK 2TB NVMe SSD, 7) Cooler Master 360mm liquid cooler, 8) Corsair ARGB Fans, and 9) MSI RTX 5060 Ti Graphics Card. What do you all think? Thanks for your input!

I think you're spending way too much on the CPU and not enough on the GPU. The Ryzen 9 9900X is overkill for your needs; you could save about $200 by switching to a Ryzen 5 9600X, and that extra cash can go towards a better GPU instead!

I thought a better CPU would help with FPS and prevent bottlenecking. Can you explain why a better GPU is more important here?
