Looking for Feedback on My PC Build

Hey everyone! I'm new to building PCs and would love to hear your thoughts on the parts I've picked out. I'm not aiming for a top-tier setup just yet—just something that can run games like modded Sims 4 smoothly, with plans to upgrade over the next year or two. I've got a total budget of around $400, factoring in a CPU, video card, and motherboard combo I found for $175. I already own the monitor. Here's my current parts list!

I would recommend going for an AM4 setup with an R5 5500 and a B450 motherboard. It's a better choice with 6 cores and 12 threads compared to the i7's 4 cores.

Looks like you can definitely build a better system for your budget! What’s the total amount you’re looking to spend?

I'm trying to stay around $400 since the CPU, motherboard, and video card set is going for $175 and I already have the monitor.

Honestly, I think you can do a lot better even if you’re sticking to $500 for the whole build (not including the monitor). Have you considered other options?

Yeah, I found a combo for $175—was trying to build around that, so total budget including that is about $400.
