Looking for Free Alternatives to SolarWinds and ManageEngine for Network Monitoring

I'm searching for a free or open-source network monitoring solution that can work well with a hybrid setup combining Microsoft Azure and on-premises Active Directory. We primarily use VMware to host most of our on-premises AD servers, along with a few standalone machines. It would be great if the solution also supports software deployment.

PRTG is a great option too, especially since it’s free for up to 100 sensors. Just a heads up, it doesn’t support software deployment, though.

Check out Checkmk! It might fit your needs perfectly for network monitoring.

For monitoring, both LibreNMS and Zabbix would be good choices. They can utilize SNMP, WMI, and more to gather your network data efficiently.

Rabbit also has agents for many different systems, making installation a breeze. Plus, you can go agentless with SNMP or WMI.
