I'm diving into my first PC build and I want to ensure everything runs smoothly without bottlenecks. I've got a list of components ready and I'm curious about whether upgrading to an RX 7600 with 16GB would be a good choice. Here's what I've got so far:
- CPU: RYZEN 7 5700G
- RAM: 16GB
- Current GPU: RTX 4060 8GB
- SSD: 512GB
- Motherboard: B550
Would this setup cause any issues with my CPU, or would the RX 7600 be a smart fit? Also, are there other considerations I should keep in mind for my build?

If you're doing a GPU upgrade, definitely look into a non-G variant CPU as well. The G series have less cache which can impact performance. A jump to a Ryzen 7 5700X could really boost your performance, and you could sell the 5700G to help cover costs. As for GPUs, the RX 7600 or a second-hand RX 6700 XT would be great options.
You might want to rethink the Ryzen 7 5700G because it's designed with integrated graphics, which isn’t ideal if you plan to use a dedicated GPU. A Ryzen 5 5600X could save you some money while providing similar performance. It sounds like you're set on getting a new GPU, so the RX 7600 could be a solid choice, but I’d recommend looking into at least a 12GB variant for future-proofing since 8GB might be limiting in a few years.
Have you considered other GPUs like the Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB? It might fit your budget better if you’re looking to upgrade.
Right now, those are actually the two options I’m thinking about! Should I stick with the 4060 or swap it for the RX 7600? I'm leaning towards the RX since it has more VRAM.
