Hey everyone! My GPU just died, and I'm in the market for an upgrade. I'm a huge fan of AMD, so I'm leaning toward the RX 9000 series. Given my setup, do you think I should only replace the GPU, or should I consider upgrading other components as well? Here's what I'm working with:
- Tower: Be Quiet Dark Base (model is hard to find now)
- PSU: Be Quiet Straight Power 12 1000W
- Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite AX V2 (release 1.0)
- CPU: Ryzen 9 5950X
- Cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer II 420mm
- RAM: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 3200MHz (2x 16GB)
- Previous GPU: Sapphire NITRO+ RX 6950 XT (RIP)
Any recommendations on preferred OEMs and whether I should consider other upgrades? Thanks a lot!

Considering your setup, I think the 9070XT would be a fantastic fit! Either going with Sapphire Nitro+ or the PowerColor Hellhound OC would serve you well. Just make sure your cooling is up to par and you're good to go!
Sorry about your 6950XT, that was a solid card! If you’re sticking with AMD, I’d definitely recommend going with Sapphire again. I have the Nitro+ 9070XT and it’s been great. By the way, what resolution are you gaming at?
