Looking for Graphics Card Upgrade Advice

I recently upgraded my CPU to a Ryzen 7 5700G from a Ryzen 5 2600. Now, I'm thinking about upgrading my graphics card too since I have a GTX 1660 that I've been using since 2021, and it struggles during heavy editing tasks. I primarily use Adobe apps for video editing and do some gaming with titles like Resident Evil. Here are my current specs: Ryzen 7 5700G, GTX 1660, B450 motherboard, 16GB RAM, and a 650W Bronze PSU. What GPU would you recommend for my setup?

Upgrading your GPU and RAM are your best bets for huge performance boosts. Since you're focused on video editing and gaming, definitely go for the GPU first. The new graphics card options like the NVIDIA 4070Ti or 5070, or even a Radeon 7800 XT, could be ideal choices, but just be sure to check the power requirements against your 650W PSU. You might also want to consider bumping your RAM up to 32GB; it can help significantly with editing tasks without breaking the bank. Plus, if you haven't, think about upgrading to a B550 motherboard to unlock better performance and support newer PCIe standards.

I had a similar setup and ran a 5800X3D with a 7800XT on a 550W PSU without issues, so you might be fine with your current power supply.

Honestly, the GTX 1660 is still pretty decent! But if you're noticing a slowdown, a solid upgrade would definitely help in your creative workflows.

Just get the RX 9060 XT with 16GB as soon as you can! It's a great price compared to NVIDIA right now and would really help both your video editing and gaming. Also, consider adding more RAM to really improve performance—just a thought!
