Hey everyone! I'm a self-taught programmer and I've been at it for about a year now. I know a few languages like Python, C++, and JavaScript, and I'm really into Linux, but I wouldn't say I've mastered any libraries or specific tech areas yet. I've built some simple projects like a to-do list CLI, an expense tracker, a tycoon game, and some games in C++ using SDL2 like Tetris and Pong in Lua. I also created a Pomodoro timer and a habit tracker in vanilla JavaScript.
I could really use some feedback on my current progress; I'm a bit unsure where I stand in my programming skills. I feel like I might be spread too thin over multiple areas and I'm looking for advice on which fields I should focus on. My interests lie in Linux, developing innovative and complex programs, and I'd love to find ways to monetize my skills. Since I currently code on my phone, I'd also like to know if there are affordable coding fields I can pursue to eventually save up for a laptop.

You seem like someone who enjoys problem-solving, which is great! You've built an impressive portfolio in just a year. If I were you, I’d consider focusing more on backend development, particularly in APIs and integrations. There's a lot of potential for projects that you can sell. You might also look into cybersecurity since you appear to have a solid foundation in Linux. Just remember to align your learning path with your interests to stay motivated and make steady progress.
Thanks for the encouragement!
