I'm trying to put together a PC that fits within a budget of around £1200 and is capable of handling video editing with software like Premiere Pro and After Effects. I was considering the following components: CPU - Intel i7-14700K, GPU - RTX 5060 Ti, and 32GB of DDR4 RAM. However, the total cost came to over £1000 just for those parts, and I still need to factor in a cooler, a case, SSD, and other essentials. I'd appreciate any recommendations or alternatives that provide similar performance while staying within my budget!

You've hit the nail on the head—it’s tough to get the performance you want within that budget. Are you open to either bumping up your budget a bit, or perhaps considering slightly lower performance specs? That might help fit everything in more comfortably. Just a thought!
Here's my suggestion for your build! I assembled a list that should keep you under budget while still providing strong performance for video editing. For the CPU, consider the Intel i7-12700KF which is priced around £218. You’ll also need a compatible CPU cooler like the Thermalright Peerless Assassin for about £30, plus a good motherboard like the Gigabyte B760M D3HP for around £80. For RAM, I recommend the Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB kit for about £230. For storage, a 1TB MSI SPATIUM M560 NVME SSD will run you about £128. Lastly, the PNY GeForce RTX 5060 Ti is approximately £450. Including an ATX case and PSU, the total comes out to just over £1200! This setup should work great for your video editing tasks.
How well do you think this would perform specifically for video editing tasks?

Yeah, I think maybe lowering expectations a bit could be the way to go.
