Hey everyone! My PC is really out of date—I'm currently using an i5-4440, 12GB of DDR3 RAM, and a GTX 1070 Ti. I want to keep my GPU but upgrade everything else because I can't run most games smoothly anymore, and I feel lost when it comes to building PCs. Here's what I have in my cart right now—could someone please check if I've picked the right components and let me know if I need anything else for a new motherboard, CPU, etc.? I'd also love a recommendation for a new WiFi card or adapter since mine is pretty terrible. Thanks a ton!

If you're sticking with Intel, you might be limiting yourself, but that’s just my view.
Could you share where you live and your budget? It'll help us give better advice!
Oops, sorry! I'm in Australia and I’d like to spend around $800.
I’d suggest checking out the 7600X; it offers better performance for your budget.
But have you seen DDR5 prices? They’re pretty high right now.
Your choice looks good! However, I’d recommend spending a bit more on the i5-12400 instead of the 12400F. Having integrated graphics can be super helpful if your GPU fails. Also, you could potentially look at AM5 options for better future-proofing; they tend to perform better! Check out this link for an alternative build.
Why worry about integrated graphics? Just use an old GPU if your main one has issues.
That setup should work fine! You can always upgrade your GPU later if you decide you want to—just get the 12400 non-F if it's only a little more expensive for better performance.

I can switch if needed; I just don’t know much about it.
