Looking for ITSM Alternatives for Our SMB—Recommendations Needed!

Good morning, fellow sysadmins! I'm on the hunt for a solid replacement for our current setup of Lansweeper and TeamViewer. We have 90 Windows endpoints and 50 users at our small to medium-sized business, and while we aren't unhappy with our current tools, we're aware there might be better options. Our Lansweeper contract is up for renewal this September, so we want to explore alternatives before making any decisions.

I'm evaluating other software solutions that fit our needs, and I could really use some recommendations. Here's what we're looking for:

- Asset inventory
- Remote software deployment
- Patch management
- Unattended access and remote support
- Help desk functionality
- Integration across all these features

On the flip side, here are some concerns we have with our current setup:
- **TeamViewer**: We're ready for a change since we're currently sharing one perpetual license between two admins, which is not ideal. The communication between TeamViewer and Lansweeper isn't seamless, and we're missing out on features that would enhance our workflow.
- **Lansweeper**: While it's a fantastic product for asset visibility and reporting, it still requires some workarounds because its help desk and deployment components remain on-premises, making it a bit clunky.

Essentially, we also need to step up our patch management strategy, which is currently quite manual. We've started trials with NinjaOne and Manage Engine/Zohos Service Desk Plus, but I'm unsure about the capabilities of Service Desk in software deployment.

Budget-wise, we're looking at options that could go up to around $5K, but there's no way we can leap from $2800 to over $10K annually. Any advice or product suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Have you checked out Dameware Remote Connect? It's a solid option that many folks in our field trust. It might cover a lot of your needs, especially with remote support and management features.

I’d suggest giving Action1 a shot! It's free for setups under 201 endpoints which could be perfect for your situation. It offers patch management, basic vulnerability management, and asset inventory, all in one agent. The asset inventory could use some improvements, but hey, for free, it’s pretty good!
