I'm trying to set up a kiosk or queue system for my nonprofit that deals with a high volume of visitors. I came across an old comment about using a custom user interface in Group Policy to restrict access to just the check-in page on a touch screen. I'm looking for guidance on how to set this up or find low-budget alternatives. Ideally, I want to create a simple system where visitors can select whether they have an appointment or are walk-ins and what documents they are bringing. Any suggestions would be appreciated while I search for tutorials online!

You could use the built-in "Kiosk Mode" in Windows 10 or 11 instead of diving into Group Policy. This feature allows you to restrict user access to just one app, like your check-in webpage, and it’s really easy to set up with a wizard in settings. Just create a limited user account for this purpose, and point it to your check-in site using Edge. Just a heads up, though: it only works on Pro, Enterprise, or Educational editions.

Pretty cool! Thanks for the clarification. It's great to see options that are budget-friendly and straightforward for nonprofits.
