I need some advice on Linux distributions for a friend who has an older PC that can't handle Windows 11. He's not very tech-savvy, so I need something user-friendly. Here are his specs: an RX 550 2GB graphics card, a Ryzen 5 1600 processor, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 1TB HDD. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

Mint is definitely the way to go! It’s designed for people who are not used to Linux, plus it has a lot of support for various applications.
I’d definitely recommend checking out Linux Mint. It’s known for being user-friendly and works well on older hardware, so it should run nicely on his setup.
You can’t go wrong with Linux Mint. It’s pretty straightforward, and your friend won't have too much trouble figuring it out.
Just to clarify, when you say he can't play without it dying, are you implying he’s switching to Linux for better game performance? Make sure to let him know that while some games run well on Linux, it doesn’t always guarantee better performance compared to Windows.
