Hey everyone! I'm trying to upgrade my PC since I'm struggling with my RAM and have an outdated CPU. Here's what I currently have: an i7 8700, MSI B360 motherboard, 16GB of RAM, a 250GB M.2 SSD, a 2TB HDD, and an RTX 3070. I'm looking to enhance my setup with a new case, power supply, motherboard, RAM, and SSD, but I'm not looking to swap out the CPU right now. I game and do some video editing, and my budget is around $650 (but I can stretch it a bit if needed). Any suggestions? Also, I'm open to buying used parts!

Totally agree with the last suggestion. That i7-8700 is pretty old now, so when you get a chance, think about upgrading the CPU too! But you're good for now.
I second what the first person said. Just a friendly reminder though: eventually, consider upgrading that i7-8700. It might bottleneck your system with newer graphics cards down the line.
Check out this build I put together for you:
- AMD Ryzen 5 7600X ($170)
- Thermalright CPU Cooler ($18.59)
- MSI PRO B650M Motherboard ($129.99)
- 32GB DDR5 RAM ($82.97)
- 1TB M.2 NVME SSD ($58.49)
- Cooler Master Case ($39.99)
- 850W Modular PSU ($89.90)
Total comes to about $590! This should give you a solid upgrade without breaking the bank.
Just make sure your new parts fit with your existing GPU!
Wow... almost a whole PC built for just under $600. Impressive. You'll definitely save a ton without needing a new GPU! Just a heads up, if you did want to upgrade the GPU later, it could get pricey.
Thanks for the suggestions! I'll definitely check into that.
Oh, my bad! I meant to say everything except the GPU. Thanks for the tip!
