Hey everyone! I'm planning an upgrade for my PC and I'm curious if it would be beneficial to enhance my RAM. Right now, I have Corsair 5600 CL36. What are some recommendations for memory upgrades? Additionally, I'm also considering switching my NVMe storage. I currently have two Samsung 990 Pro drives, one at 1TB and another at 2TB, both Gen4. Here are my specs:
- ASUS Z790 TUF Gaming WiFi
- Zotac 4090
- Intel i9 14900K
- Corsair 5600 CL36
- 3TB Samsung 990 Pro
- 1100W PSU
Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Honestly, I don't see much reason to upgrade your RAM unless you need more performance. If you're looking to switch things up, you might consider going for some 6400 CL32 modules; that could give you a nice boost!
I’d recommend looking for a set of 7600MT/s CL36 RAM. They are compatible with most 13th and 14th gen chips, and you just need to turn on XMP. It can really improve your 1% lows, which is great for gaming!
I never thought about 7600 speeds before. I assumed they were only suited for high-end boards. Thanks for that tip! I'll look into it.
