I'm finishing up my white/grey/silver PC build and just need a modular power supply unit (PSU) that's at least 1100-1200W to ensure it's future-proof. Here are my current specs: I have a 9800X3D, and an RTX 4080 GameRock OC that I might paint white. The rest of my setup includes 64GB of Trident Z Royal CL28 6000 MT/s RAM, an MSI X870E Edge TI WIFI motherboard, and a Lancool 216 case. I'm also looking to use white braided cables, similar to what companies like Phanteks, Asus, or Lian Li offer. I currently have a 1300W Seasonic Prime Gold but plan to repurpose it for my Docker/Home Server. So, I'm on the hunt for a new PSU with a 12V 2X6 connector for the GPU. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

It can be tricky finding a good white PSU that exceeds 1000W, but it's definitely worth it for future-proofing. Just for reference, even a solid 1000W PSU should handle an RTX 5090 without issue. Are you sure you really need to go over 1200W, considering the setup you mentioned?
Brands like Phanteks, Asus, or Lian Li are all good choices! You might want to check out the PSU tier list spreadsheet for ratings and comparisons of different units. It’s a great resource if you’re shopping around.

With winter power issues in my area, I want to avoid stressing the PSU. I also purchased a 1600W UPS just in case, so I’m leaning towards the higher wattage for peace of mind.
