I recently had a disaster where my graphics card literally caught fire! Thankfully, the rest of my PC setup is still functional. I'm now on the hunt for a reliable replacement GPU that my motherboard can support. Here's a link to my motherboard's specs: https://www.newegg.com/gigabyte-z390-aorus-master-atx-intel-motherboard-intel-z390-lga-1151/p/N82E16813145089?item=N82E16813145089. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

If you're considering the RTX 5090, that's a good choice! Even though your motherboard is PCIe 3.0, it can still handle that card while only losing a bit of performance—maybe 5% compared to PCIe 5.0. Just keep in mind your CPU might be the bigger factor in performance.
Your motherboard supports all GPUs with a PCIe x16 slot regardless of generation. You could go for something like the RTX 50 series or AMD's RX 90 series. It's completely up to you!

Oh interesting, good to know. I might also need to upgrade my CPU. I'm currently using this one: https://www.newegg.com/intel-core-i7-9th-gen-core-i7-9700k-coffee-lake-lga-1151-desktop-cpu-processor/p/N82E16819117958?item=N82E16819117958. Any CPU upgrade suggestions?
