I'm planning to buy a gaming PC and I'm in need of either an ultrawide monitor or a dual monitor setup that works well for both work and play. Currently, I'm using two Dell P2422HE monitors with an Intel ThinkPad which I really like, especially because they have a 65W powered USB-C hub that connects my laptop while also charging it. I can daisy chain the monitors without needing a dock, but unfortunately, these won't suit my gaming needs.
My new PC will have a Ryzen 9900x and an RTX 5080, and I've also got a LG C1 OLED that I will connect to it. I'm looking for either a 1440p or 4K resolution, ideally with a USB hub or ports to keep my workspace organized. I'm not too picky about the panel type—although I'm wary of OLEDs due to potential burn-in from static images—but I need something available in the USA. My budget is around $1000, but I'm open to spending more if it means getting a better solution for my requirements. Thanks for any recommendations!

I totally advocate for a dual monitor setup if your GPU can handle it. Having a super ultrawide for gaming while still being able to access other apps is fantastic. I use a combination of a 49" ultrawide and a couple of smaller monitors for my tasks—it's a great workflow!
I have a 34-inch ultrawide IPS monitor that runs at 165Hz and it's been super reliable for both gaming and work with my 5070 Ti. It was around $170, and honestly, I think it's a great deal for what you get.
You should check out the MSI 491CQPX. It's a 49-inch curved QD-OLED monitor that gives you the resolution of two 27" 1440p monitors side by side. Plus, it has a USB-C port with 98W power delivery and a built-in hub. It's perfect for multitasking!
Thanks for the suggestion! I'm curious though—when gaming on it, does it fill the whole screen, or just part of it while allowing you to have other apps up? How's the text clarity for documents in that setup?
If gaming is your priority, I recommend looking into the Neo G7 or even the LG 45" 5k2k. I love my LG for gaming, but splitting the screen can be a bit tricky.

That sounds great, but I don't have the space for that many monitors. Any tips for a streamlined 2x monitor setup that fits a 24-27" size?
