Looking for Remote Deployment Solutions for Varied System Images

Hey everyone! I've been following this forum for a while, and I finally have a question that I can't seem to find a clear answer to. I'm working in Software Quality Assurance, and we often need to re-image around 100 different systems. The catch is, not many of our systems are the same—they're a mix of brand-name computers like HP and Dell, as well as custom builds. We install various operating systems (Windows, Ubuntu, Rocky), configure them as needed, and create images from those setups.

Currently, we mostly use Acronis for imaging, but we've also explored Macrium Reflect and Clonezilla. What I'm searching for is a solution that allows us to deploy ISOs and custom images over the network. I'd love for it to enable remote deployments, especially for off-premises users who need to refresh systems without on-site help. Most solutions I've seen are focused on identical machines, which doesn't fit our chaotic environment. Any recommendations for tools or strategies that could help?

For offline images, have you considered using removable drives? When you mentioned identical machines, I was a bit confused because I use a single image for multiple HP and Dell devices without issue. But since you have diverse hardware for testing, one image might not work well for you.

Currently, I keep all our images and ISOs on the network, transfer them to USB drives, and boot from those to re-image. It seems like you’re looking to skip the USB step and deploy directly from the network, ideally with remote access. That sounds challenging but definitely feasible!

You might want to check out OSDCloud for deploying Windows devices from a remote location. It looks like a good fit for your needs, though I’m unsure about its compatibility with Linux. Is using virtual machines an option for your setup, or do you strictly need physical devices?
