I'm currently using Mesh Central for remote access to machines, and ScreenConnect as a backup, but I'm looking for alternatives. ScreenConnect needs a Windows server and performs poorly on Linux, which is problematic for us. I need a self-hosted solution for about 10 users managing roughly 2500 machines. Any low-cost or free alternatives, preferably self-hosted, would be a huge plus!

If you just need a simple remote desktop solution, RustDesk could be a great fit! It's pretty straightforward for remote access.
Absolutely! RustDesk is a solid option if you're strictly after remote access. Just a heads up, though: it's not a full RMM, so make sure that's clear for your needs. Some folks have raised security questions about it—do you have any concerns? I'm personally using the free version and it's been working well for me, but I'd love to hear your thoughts!
I primarily need remote access and already have an RMM tool. I've seen some discussions about RustDesk's security too. Are you satisfied with the free version, or do you think the paid offering is worth it?
