Hey everyone! I'm currently using a PC with a Ryzen 5 7500F paired with an RTX 2060. Unfortunately, during some maps in CS2, I find my FPS dropping below 200, and I'm really struggling to get a smooth experience on my 240Hz monitor. I had initially thought the RTX 2060 would suffice, but now I realize I need an upgrade. Ideally, I'm looking for a second-hand GPU that delivers significantly more power than my current one, irrespective of whether it's Nvidia, AMD, or Intel. My goal is to maintain at least 300 FPS on maps like Ancient, Inferno, and Train without breaking the bank. What are your recommendations?

Just a thought, but have you checked if it's really the GPU holding you back? CS2 is definitely more demanding than CS:GO. A quick way to test is to lower your graphics settings or resolution and see if that improves the FPS. I have a slower 5800X with a beefier 6800XT, and I've noticed that frame drops sometimes relate more to the game's performance rather than GPU power.
I think an RX 6600 could be your best option. It offers great performance for the price, or at least, it did a couple of years ago. There are also some good deals available if you look around.
I don't really notice a gigantic difference myself, but maybe real-life testing would prove me wrong! Here’s a link I found that might help: [https://youtu.be/hWk7uFC7JiY?t=18](https://youtu.be/hWk7uFC7JiY?t=18)

I get what you're saying, but I used to have an i5 9600K with an RTX 2060, and it ran CS:GO like a dream. When CS2 came out, it was a different story. I had to overhaul everything except for the 2060, but I suspect I’d really hit higher FPS with something like the 7800X3D in play. Honestly, if you want to push 240Hz in CS2, you’ll need a solid GPU to match that Ryzen 7500F.
