I'm gearing up to build my first gaming PC, but I'm also going to use it for 3D design work. I've been doing a ton of research to find the best and most budget-friendly components, but I'm still a bit lost. Here's what I have so far:
- AMD RYZEN 5 5600X (Some suggest upgrading to a 5700X3D, but I'm not sure if it's worth it)
- DDR4 RAM, since DDR5 prices are out of my budget right now.
- For the motherboard, I'm considering GIGABYTE B550M, MSI B550-A PRO ProSeries, or MSI A520M-A PRO.
I'm open to suggestions on any changes if there's something better out there. I also have no idea what kind of power supply or cooler I should get, plus I need a decent graphics card to start with. The case isn't a problem since I have a few at home.
The games I typically play aren't very demanding—Persona games, Baldur's Gate 3, Dragon Quest, Shin Megami Tensei, and maybe Clair Obscure Expedition 33.
I'd really appreciate any help!

If you're looking at an AM5 build and it's too pricey, go for whichever motherboard is the cheapest. Just keep in mind that if you need WiFi, a more expensive board might be beneficial unless you consider a WiFi extension card for $20-$30. The 5700X3D is a solid option, but since they’re no longer being produced, they've become pricey. Your best bet for finding used parts would be eBay or Facebook Marketplace. And don't forget, a GPU is essential, but it all comes down to your budget!
Sounds like you're on the right track! For the graphics card, I’d recommend looking for something in the mid-range like the GTX 1660 or a Radeon RX 6600 if you can find one within your budget. They should handle the games you play just fine. Also, don't forget to check the wattage on your power supply; typically, around 600W is a safe bet for your build!

My budget is between $500-$700. Plus, I already have a WiFi card, so I’m set there!
