Hey everyone! I've been pretty late to the AI scene, and while I haven't avoided it on purpose, I just haven't found enough reasons to dive in until now. I want to incorporate AI into my workflow to help take some of the boring grunt work off my plate. I'm on the lookout for some no-nonsense videos that fit the bill, specifically those where the presenter:
- Isn't trying to sell me something.
- Discusses the pros and cons of different AI tools.
- Is knowledgeable (like a respected programmer).
If you have any suggestions, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!

For backend tasks, many people like Claude 3.5/4.0. And for coding environments, Visual Studio Code with your favorite extensions (like copilot or Cline) or alternatives like Cursor.ai are popular choices.
Sean Kochel has some awesome videos like vibe planning and vibe coding. I've learned a lot from them, so that might be a good place to start if you're looking for practical advice without the fluff.
If you want to try some tools, Claude Code is highly recommended. It’s really strong for coding tasks. You can start with their $20/month plan, but if you find it useful, there's an option for $100/month for more access. Also, tools like Desktop Commander MCP with Claude Desktop and VS Code extensions like Cline are great as well!
I haven’t come across any specific videos, but I think it's worth considering why you're focusing just on videos. Everyone learns differently! I find articles or community experiences can be just as informative, if not more so. Maybe expanding your search could lead to some helpful insights!
Totally get that! I guess I just like having videos on while I do chores around the house. I'm open to articles too - I just thought videos might be easier to multitask with.
