I've been putting together a PC build and wanted to share the specs to get your thoughts. Here's what I have so far:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- CPU Cooler: Thermalright Phantom Spirit
- Motherboard: GIGABYTE B850 AORUS Elite WIFI7
- GPU: RTX 3070
- RAM: G.Skill DIMM 32 GB DDR5-6000 (2x 16 GB)
- Storage: Samsung 990 Pro m.2 1TB NVMe SSD
- Case: NZXT H5 Flow
- Power Supply: be quiet Netzteil Pure Power 13 M 650W
- Operating System: Windows 11 Pro
I went with the RTX 3070 because I mainly play FPS games on a 500Hz monitor and wanted to see if it could keep up! What do you think?

The 3070 can hit around 240Hz at 1080p, but if you're looking for 360Hz, it might not look great unless you tweak some settings.
What's your budget for the graphics card? You might be able to grab an RTX 5060 for a similar price point!
If you're getting the 3070 for free, that's awesome! Just keep in mind that a 650W power supply might limit your options if you upgrade later on. It could be wise to consider a higher wattage PSU for future-proofing your build.
The 3070 isn't a bad choice, but for a 500Hz monitor, it might struggle to max out the settings. You might want to look into the 5070 or 4070 Ti. That way, you can make the most of that pricey display you’ve got!
Yeah, but for games like Valorant, it's more about the CPU, so maybe it won't matter that much.

No, I’d actually buy the 3070 used instead of free. Seems like the better plan!
