Hey everyone! I'm looking for feedback on my current PC build, which I mainly use for CAD and CFD work, with some gaming on the side. I've done a lot of research, but I'm feeling a bit out of touch with the latest PC parts. Here's my list: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/HZVV8Q](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/HZVV8Q). My budget is under $1700 pre-tax, and I'd love to know if anything stands out as subpar or if there are areas where I could save money without sacrificing performance. Also, I get free Windows keys from my university, so don't worry about that part!

If you're into story-based games, you might want to switch to a 1440p monitor instead of sticking with 1080p. Plus, consider dropping down to 1TB of storage to save some cash!
Nah, I'm mostly into competitive shooters and need the extra storage for video editing and CAD work. I’m actually planning to get a 3440x1440p ultra-wide monitor during Black Friday to give me more screen space.
