Looking for the Best GPU Upgrade Under 300 Euros

Hey everyone! I'm getting a bit fed up with the wait for new GPUs that I've hoped would lower the prices of used ones, but it seems like the market has just gone up instead! My current RX 5700 XT is starting to feel outdated, and I'd like to sell it while it still has some value. I'm looking to upgrade to something better. Here are some options I'm considering:

Nvidia cards:
- 3070 for about 240-250 euros
- 2080 Ti for around 250-260 euros
- 3080 (10GB) priced between 320-350 euros

AMD options include:
- RX 6700 XT for 220-250 euros
- RX 6800 priced at 290-320 euros
- New options I noticed are Intel B580 around 250 euros and RX 9060 XT (16GB) at about 340-350 euros.

The used market here seems a bit stagnant, making it hard to find great value upgrades. I mostly play racing games, VR, MMOs, and gacha games at 1440p 165Hz, so achieving over 60fps in more recent titles would be awesome. I'm also wondering if RDNA2 cards are worth it in 2025, or if the lower VRAM options from Nvidia are worth it given that I don't do much RT or serious gaming right now.

Finally, I've heard mixed things about the Intel B580 and its performance, especially in VR and with an R7 3700X. If anyone has better deals or recommendations for GPUs in Europe, I'd appreciate it!

I found a used RTX 3070 for about 220 euros and it's been great for 1440p gaming. I don’t go for the latest titles, but I've been really happy with how it performs. The B580 did not appeal to me much because of VR support issues, so I’d pick the 3070 for its reliability.

Totally get that! The compatibility with VR does seem to be a drawback. Just keep an eye on your current and future gaming needs before you settle.

Yeah, if you can find the RX 9060 XT 16GB at around 350 euros, that’s likely your best bet. It has decent hardware with good future-proofing, just be mindful of the output options if that’s a concern for you.

Thanks for the heads up! I’ll definitely weigh the 9060 XT against the RX 6800 for sure.

The RX 6800 is a great alternative if you can stretch your budget a little. It offers performance similar to the RX 9060 XT and is fantastic for 1440p gameplay. Just be aware of the pricing as it can vary a lot!

Honestly, if you're open to it, I'd recommend checking the RX 6750 XT as well since it's sometimes priced closely to the RX 6700 XT and could give you that extra performance boost you might need. Don't overlook it while shopping around!

If you're aiming for 1440p gaming, the RX 9060 XT is a solid choice right now for its value. Just know that it performs efficiently but might need a good CPU to truly shine later on. The B580 is also worth looking into, especially if you're planning future upgrades; just make sure you pair it with a capable CPU.
