I'm on the hunt for a dedicated journaling or diary app. I'd love to know if there are any tailored options for this purpose. Worst-case scenario, I could always use LibreOffice Draw to combine text and images, then export as a PDF. But if I wanted to get really ambitious, I'd like to include audio or video as well. Is there an app out there that has these features? Any recommendations?

If you're into open-source, Emacs has a diary module that you might find useful. It's just one part of a larger ecosystem if you're considering replacing your tech with Emacs Lisp.
Have you tried Obsidian? It's really versatile and perfect for notes and journaling. I've been using it for about four years and love the features, especially the graph view animation—it’s so cool!
Yes, Obsidian is the way to go! Just be prepared for a bit of a learning curve.
I heard about notebookLM, but I'm really hesitant. It's from Google, and I've got serious privacy concerns about how they handle data. I'd avoid it if I were you.
Totally agree! There are better options out there that don't compromise your privacy.

I definitely second this recommendation. Once you get the hang of it, you'll be impressed by how much it can do.
