I've been using PDFX-Editor-Plus on Windows for a long time, but now that I'm switching to Debian, I'm curious about what PDF editors are available on Linux. Can anyone recommend a solid option?

Okular is a great choice! It excels at annotations, but just a heads-up: it's not the best for filling out forms or signing documents.
For occasional form-filling, I use Sedja. Just know the free version limits you to a few tasks daily.
One thing to clarify: when you say 'editor,' are you looking to actually edit the content or just annotate?
If you're open to browser-based options, I personally like Canva’s online tools. Just keep in mind that some folks may prefer offline solutions.
You might want to check out LibreOffice Draw. It’s pretty versatile and can handle most PDF editing tasks well.
