I've been hearing a lot about mpv and how it supposedly surpasses VLC in functionality, but I haven't really gotten into it. Honestly, I've downloaded it multiple times but found it kind of clunky and hard to use. I've heard it involves some programming, which is a bit daunting. I'm eager to learn more about it though! What resources would you recommend to get the most out of mpv? I'm open to blogs, articles, YouTube channels, or any detailed tutorials you find helpful—anything but just the official documentation.

mpv is definitely more of a command-line player, but once you get the hang of it, it's super powerful! If you're just starting, you might want to check out some YouTube tutorials that cover basic commands and configuration. A good channel to start with is "MPV Mastery" where they break things down nicely. Trust me, after a bit of learning, you'll wonder how you ever used VLC!
I switched to mpv because it handled a 4K video that my other players just wouldn't play. Now, I use it as my default player since it’s so versatile. Basic controls are super simple too - F for full screen and Escape to exit. If you need help, just ask! It’s worth the learning curve.

That sounds promising! I'm definitely checking out that channel, thanks for the tip!
