Hey everyone! We're in the process of replacing around 70 computers and need a way to back up user profiles (like documents and favorites in browsers like Edge and Chrome) from each user's machine. We're looking for user-friendly, GUI-based tools (paid options are fine) that our newer techs can use to remotely target and backup this data to a remote server. After that, we need to push it back down to the laptops before shipping them out to the end users. We don't need a full state copy, just the basics. Some of these are Windows 10 and Windows 11 machines. Any recommendations or advice would be really appreciated! Thanks!

Have you guys considered using cloud storage solutions like OneDrive or Google Drive? It might make your lives easier. If you're already using OneDrive, you can set up a group policy to sync documents automatically—this way, you won't have to rely on users to back things up themselves. For Google Drive, you can run scripts for syncing, although it’s trickier for permanent syncing. With a cloud solution in place, you won’t have to worry about data loss if a drive fails. It's definitely something to look into!
Yeah, it seems like an essential feature these days. With all the risks associated with local storage, having a cloud backup really helps mitigate issues.
It sounds like you're on a big migration project! Everyday Backups could be a solid option for you. It’s a managed backup service that offers unlimited device backups for $35 a month. They can securely move user profile data to the cloud and provide a nice dashboard to keep track of everything. This way, you won’t have to deal with random scripts—you’d have a system set up that works reliably for your techs. Just a thought!
That sounds a bit sales-pitchy to me... I hope it’s not just another one of those services that overpromise and underdeliver.
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll definitely check it out. The ease of management for backups is worth looking into.
Totally agree! We made the switch to OneDrive for backups, and it was a game changer for us. Plus, Edge's ability to sync favorites made our machines practically disposable since user data was always safe.
