I'm considering giving my 2020 PC a boost and would love some advice. Here are the specs I currently have:
- **Ryzen 3 3100**
- **MSI B450 Pro M2 MAX** (which stopped working after about 3 years)
- **G.Skill 8GB RAM 3000 MHz**
- **Galax GTX 1650 Super 4GB**
- **Corsair CV450W PSU**
**Storage Options:**
- WD 1TB SATA HDD
- Adata 240GB M.2 SSD
- Crucial BX500 500GB SATA SSD
I'm located in India and have a budget of around $600-$700. My peripherals and monitor are still in good shape. This PC was decent back in the day, but nowadays it feels like every game requires **16GB of RAM**. What's the deal with developers not optimizing anymore?
I'd really appreciate your recommendations for new components to upgrade!

It's true that RAM requirements have gone up significantly! If you can afford it, upgrading to that Ryzen 5 with the extra RAM is a solid step. Just remember, if you're planning to upgrade the GPU too, do it at a time when GPU prices are less insane. Be patient and you can get more bang for your buck if you wait a bit!
With a $700 budget, you'd be best off sticking to a few key upgrades. Yeah, 16GB of RAM is becoming the norm—definitely recommend upgrading to 16GB of 3200 MHz RAM. You could also look into getting a Ryzen 5 5600 to stay on the AM4 socket for compatibility. As for the GPU, prices can vary, but it's tough to find a good upgrade within that budget right now. You might want to focus on those two upgrades first and see how your system performs after that!

What about waiting to upgrade the motherboard, chip, and GPU all at once? I feel like I’d have more budget for a bigger step up later. What do you think?
