Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my gaming setup and could use some advice. Right now, I have a B450 Tomahawk Max motherboard with a Ryzen 5 3600 CPU and an RX 6600 GPU. I'm currently running 8GB of RAM but I'm planning to bump it up to 16GB. My goal is to play AAA titles a bit smoother, but I'm stuck playing at 1080p due to my monitor and graphics card. The games I'm playing, especially Call of Duty, run pretty jerky. Any recommendations on what I should look to upgrade next to improve my gaming experience?

Have you checked where your monitor is plugged in? It's important to make sure it's connected to the graphics card's HDMI slot, especially since you mentioned you're experiencing jerky gameplay. Also, could you share which games you're playing and at what settings? The more details, the better!
Sounds like a solid setup, but that 3600 can definitely be a bottleneck depending on the game. You might want to look into how the settings affect your performance more closely.
Upgrading to 16GB of RAM should help smooth out your gameplay. However, if you’re still having issues after that, you might consider getting an RX 6900 XT for a boost in graphics performance. Just remember, some COD games tend to be CPU heavy, so it's possible your CPU could be limiting your GPU as well, especially with that RX 6900 XT in the mix!
Would getting a better GPU like that definitely solve the jerky gameplay, or is it more about the overall balance between CPU and GPU?
Exactly! The 16GB RAM will help, but you might still run into CPU limitations, especially if COD is making heavy demands on it.

Currently, I'm playing Black Ops 7 and the monitor is definitely plugged into the GPU. I'm using recommended settings, but every time I tweak them, my FPS drops even further. I'm averaging around 150 FPS, but it’s frustrating. My monitor only supports 144Hz at 1080p.
