Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my PC with a budget of about 900 euros (around $1050) but I'm unsure where to focus my money—should I go for a new GPU, CPU, or PSU? Here's what I currently have:
- Case: BitFenix Nova Noir
- PSU: FSP Fortron Hexa+ 500 (500W)
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
- CPU Cooling: Cryorig H7 Quad Lumi
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 6GB
- RAM: DDR4 16GB 2400 (which I can boost to 3000)
- Motherboard: MSI B550-A PRO (MS-7C56)
I was thinking about getting a 5060 Ti. Any thoughts?

Upgrading your GPU could really boost your gaming performance. You might also want to consider a stronger power supply for that. Something like a RX 9060 XT 16GB alongside a solid 650W PSU would work great. And hey, if you can swing it, upgrading to 32GB of DDR4 3600 RAM could really help CPU performance as well. If you haven’t already, maybe look into getting a larger m.2 NVMe SSD, a 1TB or bigger would be ideal!
If you’re thinking about a CPU upgrade, a Ryzen 5700X3D or 5800X3D would be the best bet, though they can be pricey and hard to find. Most other Ryzen CPUs won’t give you a noticeable boost, so it might be best to stick with your current one. For the PSU, go for a good quality 750W or 850W from brands like Corsair or Seasonic. Adding another 16GB of RAM would also help, even if prices are high. As for GPUs, the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB is a solid pick, but the RX 9060 XT 16GB is a cost-effective alternative with similar performance. If you're in it for the long haul, consider the RX 9070 XT for future-proofing.
