I'm trying to upgrade my gaming setup since my current rig is about six years old. I want to know if I should replace everything or if there are parts I can keep like the motherboard or RAM. Here's what I have:
- Aorus B450 Pro Wifi
- Ryzen 7 3700x
- Radeon 5700x
- 2x8 Kingston DDR4 2667MHz
I've got the stock Wraith Prism cooler and some fans, but definitely need to upgrade my PSU. I usually play titles like NBA 2K26, League of Legends, and Valorant, but I want to jump into games like Elden Ring, Red Dead Redemption, and potentially GTA 6 without any graphics issues. My budget is around 50,000 to 60,000 PHP (about $1000 USD). Any suggestions on parts to maximize this budget and ensure some longevity would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

You might want to look into getting 3200MHz RAM instead. If you're gaming at 1080p, the 9060 XT 16GB will serve you well, but for 1440p with higher frame rates, consider getting a 9070 XT or RTX 5070 if you can stretch your budget. Just keep in mind that some games will still be performance constrained, especially for upcoming titles like GTA VI. That said, once the console version drops, the PC release could be delayed.
Are any of these graphics cards compatible with my B450 motherboard, or should I plan on getting a new one? I’d really like to maintain 120fps since my monitor tops out at 165Hz. I don’t typically upgrade often after I build a PC, so factoring in future-proofing is key for me.
Consider upgrading to a Ryzen 5 5600 and a Radeon 9060 XT, along with a 650W PSU if the pricing in your region allows for it. This combo should provide a solid performance boost without breaking the bank.
