I'm searching for help on putting together a gaming PC that can handle GTA V along with some classics like Age of Empires 2 and Rome: Total War. My budget is around $300, and I'm wondering if it's even feasible to build or buy anything decent with that amount. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Honestly, $300 isn't going to cover much. You might get lucky with some RAM, but that's about it right now.

You could try hunting down an older Dell Optiplex. They're not too shabby and you could throw a decent GPU in there. Linus made a video about making a $69 PC which shows how to upgrade them nicely.

Yeah, the market's rough right now; $300 might not even be enough for RAM alone with prices the way they are.

With a $300 budget, your best bet might be to look for a used PC. Even then, it's going to be a tough sell at this price point.

A buddy of mine snagged an epic deal for $290 on FB Marketplace—got a 120100F, a 360mm AIO cooler, 32GB of DDR5, and a 1660 Super. Keep an eye out for those deals!
