I'm interested in building a PC, but I haven't done it since 2010. My last PC was a prebuilt model from 2019, and I've decided I want to tackle a fresh build this time. I've checked parts on PC part picker and have a general idea of what I'm after, but there are so many options!

I mainly play MMOs, so graphics quality is crucial for me, but I also enjoy FPS games. It's important that the system performs well without any lag or long loading times, especially since I have a 2G fiber internet connection.

I've got a great monitor setup, mouse, and keyboard already. I want recommendations for parts I should focus on to build a top-of-the-line PC that I can rely on for about 10 years with this budget.

Based on your budget, I'd recommend starting with a build centered around the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D and the GeForce RTX 5080. That combo should give you high performance for both MMOs and FPS games. Also, consider going for around 32GB of RAM to future-proof your setup. Check out builds on PC Part Picker for good combinations!

If your budget allows, upgrading to the 5070 Ti could offer even better performance! Just remember that GPUs should usually take a hefty chunk of your budget to keep everything in sync.

Since you're looking at a long-term build, focus on high-end parts like a 9800X3D processor and a solid GPU like the 5080 or 5090. Just ensure you're not overspending on less critical components to balance the total costs.

Yeah, if you're on the edge of the budget, putting more into graphics and processor is definitely the way to go!

You might want to consider a prebuilt from SkyTech or iBUYPOWER. They often come with good pricing on high-quality components, especially now with RAM prices. If you really want to build it yourself, visiting a MicroCenter can help you snag some great deals on bundles!

True! Some deals at MicroCenter can save you a lot, especially if you're looking to save on CPU and motherboard.
