I'm currently using a Ryzen 5 1600, and I think it's bottlenecking my GeForce RTX 3060 Ti. I'm aiming for a CPU upgrade but want to stick with an AM4 socket and keep the TDP to 65W. I'm considering the Ryzen 5 5600, which I can get for about $90. Does anyone have thoughts or experiences with this upgrade?

My girlfriend is running a 5600X, and she's super happy with it. It's a big upgrade from her old 3600, so I can only imagine how much better you'll do going from a 1600!
Your 3060 Ti is way too powerful for a Ryzen 1600. Going to the 5600 will balance things out nicely. Don't stress too much about RAM speeds right now; just enjoy the massive upgrade!
If your motherboard supports it, definitely go for a 5500 or 5600. Just remember to flash the latest BIOS before you do the upgrade.
The 5600 gives you great bang for your buck! Just make sure your motherboard is compatible and be ready to update the BIOS before you swap out the CPUs.
Upgraded to a 5600 a couple of years back, and I love it! Great value for the performance you get. Just ensure your cooling and PSU can manage it; you should be fine.
The Ryzen 5 5600 would definitely be a solid upgrade, just check if your motherboard can handle it with a BIOS update, and make sure you have decent DDR4 RAM to back it up.
I worry my RAM might not be optimal; it's DDR4 32GB at 2666MHz. Prices for an upgrade are crazy right now, so I might have to stick with what I have.
Seems like a fantastic option! You're going to feel a noticeable difference in performance.
I've had a 5600X paired with a 6750XT for 1440p gaming, and it performs beautifully for my needs. The 5600 will be a fantastic choice for your setup.

Shouldn't my cooling, which handled the Ryzen 5 1600 just fine, also cope with the 5600 since they both have a 65W TDP? Thanks for the feedback!
