Hey everyone! I just got a new game that says I need to upgrade my GPU. Currently, I have an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080, which has been reliable for nearly 10 years. I think it might be time for an upgrade, but I'm not quite sure what to look for. I can provide more info if needed, and I'd really appreciate any help!

Have you checked if the issue could be fixed by updating your drivers or firmware? Sometimes that's all it takes!
Just a heads up, since the GTX 1070 recently reached end of life, it’s likely your 1080 is in the same boat. No more driver updates for you, haha!
A 5060 Ti with 16 GB should be sufficient for both 1080p and 1440p. Just make sure you're not trying to use that 1080 for 4K gaming!
Honestly, I'm not sure if my setup is set to 4K. I didn't have any issues until I started playing Star Wars Outlaws.
Just a tip: the 5060 Ti and PCIe 3.0 might not be the best mix. You’ll want a PCIe x16 card to ensure compatibility. I’ve got a similar setup, and it manages a 5070 just fine!
It's tough to recommend a GPU without knowing your full PC specs. What are you working with?
It all depends on what resolution you want. If you're playing at 1080p, a Radeon RX 6600 or an Arc B580 could work well. For 1440p, I'd suggest a 7800 XT, but the RX 9070 performs better with ray tracing.
I'm actually running 2160p since it's connected to a TV, and I'm hoping to stay around a grand budget. Thanks for the suggestions!

Yeah, I noticed it asked for a driver update. The game is Star Wars Outlaws, and I've been dealing with some major screen tearing.
