Hey folks! I built my PC more than twelve years ago, and back then, it was a solid setup. Now, I'm struggling to run two 4K monitors at 60fps. I want to modernize my rig, so I'm looking for any advice on how to efficiently upgrade. Here are my current specs:

- Motherboard: Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H
- Processor: Intel i5 4670K @ 3.40GHz
- Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 780 Ti 3GB
- RAM: 16GB

I'm not getting back into gaming, but I need my PC to handle two 4K monitors smoothly. Let me know if you need more details. Thanks a bunch!

It sounds like your current setup is pretty outdated for what you want to do. Since you're not into gaming anymore, your upgrade might be different than a full gaming build. However, for running two 4K monitors, I'd recommend looking at new graphics cards and possibly a newer motherboard and CPU too. Your current components are over a decade old, so swapping out almost everything is likely your best bet!

Good point! I'm thinking about my smoothness issues too. I do suspect it might be the DisplayPort version my graphics card has, especially since I'm daisy chaining the two monitors. Plus, upgrading to Windows 11 is on my list.
