Hey everyone, I'm not super tech-savvy when it comes to PCs and I could really use some help. My current setup is struggling with new games like Battlefield 6, and I'm considering an upgrade. Here are my specs:
- **CPU**: Intel Core i5-11600KF
- **GPU**: Nvidia RTX 2060 (6GB)
- **SSD**: 256GB PCS PCIe M.2 SSD
- **HDD**: Seagate Barracuda 2TB (2018)
- **RAM**: Corsair CM4X8GF2666Z16K4 2x8GB
- **Motherboard**: Gigabyte GA-Z590 UD AC
- **Power Supply**: Corsair TX650M (650W)
I'm mainly thinking of upgrading my GPU to something like an RTX 5070 to enable 1440p gaming. However, I'm concerned about potential bottlenecking from my current components or any compatibility issues. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you're looking at a proper 1440p GPU, expect some bottlenecking due to your current CPU. It might be smart to consider upgrading to a cheaper AM5 CPU with a new motherboard and 32GB of DDR5 RAM. Otherwise, you could just get the GPU first; it’ll still give you a noticeable boost even if the rest of your setup holds it back a bit for now.
Upgrading your GPU sounds like a solid plan! Just keep in mind that you'll probably want to boost your RAM to 16GB too. In the long run, an upgrade to a better CPU like an i7 or i9 could really help as well, but for now, focus on the GPU and RAM first!

Where do you have your games stored? If they're on the HDD, that could definitely impact performance in newer titles. I recommend getting a 9060XT and a larger M.2 SSD for your games since those are pretty affordable now. Remember, bottlenecking is less of an issue at lower resolutions. For a proper upgrade, consider switching your whole platform to AM5. A 9060 XT should handle 60-70fps at high settings on 1440p, which should work well for you! And yeah, 32GB of RAM is becoming pretty essential nowadays.
