Hey everyone, it's finally time for me to upgrade my old i5 processor (I'm not sure which generation it is) that's been paired with 16GB of RAM and a GTX 1060 8GB. I've done some reading up but I'm really conflicted about which newer GPU to go for. I'm planning to keep my current SSD (a WD Black 2TB) and the Fractal Design case. I'd appreciate any tips, advice, or suggestions you might have!

I’d suggest downgrading the 7800X3D to a 9600X. You can use the extra cash to upgrade the 7800 XTX to a 7900 XT. This should give you way more power for a similar price point! Just a heads up, don't overspec the CPU too much; it's a common pitfall for new builders!
First off, which parts do you already own? It helps to know what you're starting with. If you're talking about the proposed upgrade list, I see you already have the SSD and case.
So, I only have the SSD and the case from that list. Everything else would be new.
Absolutely, the CPU overspec issue is a big one that a lot of people overlook. Definitely consider this suggestion!
